RE: Symantec DLP 15.7 EOS "No sooner than three months after the release of the next major version following 15.8."

 

Dear INSIGHT Appliance Customer:

 

As you may be aware, on August 27th, 2021, Broadcom/Symantec ended support/service for Symantec Data Loss Prevention version 15.5 software. “End of Service” (EOS) refers to the discontinuation of a specific product version or release, hereafter called “version.” A product version is EOS when no future development, engineering, or Support engagement is provided for that specific version of the product. The product itself continues to be supported at a more current version level, and customers are urged to upgrade to the latest version to receive improvements and fixes.

Below are the details on affected INSIGHT Appliance customers:

IDACT v3.x:

Customers on SDLP 15.5.x and older.

Must upgrade to latest certified version of SDLP (15.8.01).

 

IDACT v2.x:

Customers on SDLP 15.5.x and older.

Must upgrade to latest certified version of SDLP (15.7.02). IDACT v2.x customers that wish to go to SDLP 15.8.x will need to purchase the latest INSIGHT Appliances.
